Tulisa Contostavlos' act, who decided to change their name after pressure from children's charity Rhythmix, have confirmed on Twitter they will now be called Little Mix.
They tweeted: "We're really excited to announce that as of now our new name is Little Mix! We came up with this name with Tulisa, and we love it-hope our Little Mixers like it too!"
The children's music charity Rhythmix had urged the band to change their name to avoid any confusion with their work, with chief executive Mark Davyd even penning an open letter to Simon Cowell on Facebook.
He also claimed Simco - the company mainly owned by Cowell - had applied to used the trademark Rhythmix, despite being "fully aware" that it was already trademarked as the name for the charity.
