The X Factor's Rylan Clark Gets Death Threats
Controversial contestant reveals he's been threatened with violence...
His over-the-top reaction to making the final 12 in last night's The X Factor might not have won him many new fans, but Rylan Clark has revealed that he's got more important things to worry about after receiving death threats since appearing on the show.
Speaking to The Sun, the Essex boy said he was surprised how far some of his critics had gone.
"I've had death threats, I've been told I'm going to be bottled and my face sliced open," he explained.
"At times it has killed me and it's disgusting - some of these people act like I'm a murderer. It has made going out in public quite daunting."
And he claims that his sick mother has been worried by the negative attention his success on the show has generated.
"My mum's not silly, she knows not everyone will like me. But reading comments threatening to break into my house and firebomb me would shock anyone."
Rylan has been accused of being the "ringleader" in drunken hi-jinks among the show's contestants.
