The judge said the hopefuls were “a disgrace to the show”…
Tulisa Contostavlos has sacked a group from the judges’ houses stage of The X Factorafter they ignored her ban on sex.
According to a report in The Sun, the N-Dubzsinger had warned her contestants, who were flown to the Greek island of Mykonos, not to engage in any naughty behaviour and was furious when she found out that some had ignored her.
An ITV source is quoted as saying: “She had got all the groups together and given them a stern pep talk, telling everyone they needed to act like professionals if they wanted to make the cut. This meant no boozing, no wild partying and certainly no extra-curricular bonding. She made a point about being a strict judge, and telling the guys to respect this if they wanted to progress.”
But the tabloid reports that some hopefuls had a blatant disregard for Tulisa’s orders and two girls from one group got close to two boys from another group, while two others from a mixed group got together. When she found out, Tulisa refused to put one group through to the live finals, telling producers they were “a disgrace to the show”.
The We Dance On singer defended her tough stance in an interview with The Mirror, saying she didn’t appreciate contestants thinking they could get one past her because of her party girl persona. “I think before I started The X Factor there was this perception of me as being a bit wild because of my N-Dubz past.
“But hopefully now they see I am not like that at all, and I’m actually very strict with my acts because I want the best for them,” she explained. “My villa was purposely higher up than theirs so I could keep an eye on them – to see who was awake and who wasn’t and who was rehearsing and who was not.”
