Tulisa's Mum Tells Her To "Stop Crying" On X Factor
The N-Dubz star was reduced to tears after Michelle Barrett's audition...
Contostavlos sobbed as fellow judge Kelly Rowland tried to comfort her, as Tulisa revealed that Barrett reminded her of her own mum, Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow: "Me and Mum have this really powerful relationship, she's the reason I sing. She became unwell and spent her life still singing — in the kitchen."
Byrne, who suffers from schizoaffective disorder — a combination of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia - was desperate to comfort her daughter after seeing her break-down live on TV, leaving Tulisa to explain that the programme was pre-recorded.
The 23-year old star, who became her mum's carer at the age of 11, then tweeted: "As if my mum called me 2nit going "r u ok love? stop crying!"...ITS NOT LIVE YET MUM! I'm sitting eating my dinner! Haha she cracks me up."
It is thought that around 10.5million people witnessed Tulisa's tears, as the audition stage of the competition came to an end.
