Two New Bands Formed At X Factor Boot Camp

Contestants who failed to make it through are thrown a lifeline from the judges...

Two new bands are formed on tonight's episode of the X Factor (28 September).

Simon Cowell and co help form a five-piece girl group and an eight-member boy band, as they give some singers who didn't make it through boot camp as soloists one last shot.

Abi Garrido, Abby Eades, Leah Gooden, Mimi O'Connell and Saffron Silva all left the first round at boot camp, but the judges decided to throw the auditionees a lifeline after realising there was a place for them in the competition as a group.

The girls now make up the unnamed teenage girl band, as eight guys are brought together to form another group in tonight's episode.

All eight of the boys were brought back after they were booted out in challenge one of the boot camp round.

They're asked to sing as an eight-piece in a rehearsal workshop, when judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl, Mel B and Louis Walsh decidethey couldn't make the band smaller and lose a singer.

"When we saw you as eight people this is no word of a lie, every single one of us said, none of this band can leave", Simon tells them.

"This is something different. It's nice to do something different".

James Graham, Reece Bibby, Tom Mann, Casey Johnson, Jake Sims, Charlie Jones, Barclay Beales and Chris Leonard make up the super-group.

Neither band has chosen a name yet, but keep it locked to MTV News for the latest X Factor twists!
