What The Flip? Katie Waissel Tells Chezza To 'S**t Or Get Off The Pot'

Wacky former X Factor contestant in strange outburst at returning judge...

We're not sure if Katie Waissel's latest 15 seconds of fame on The X Factor at the weekend has gone to her head, but she's decided to re-open her feud with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.

The 28-year-old singer - who came seventh in the 2010 series of the ITV talent show - took a swipe at her former mentor, seemingly complaining that Chezza didn't watch her performance with the other returning "novelty" acts.

"Cheryl was absolutely nowhere to be seen! I'm surprised she even made it out to the chairs. But absolutely no-one saw her," Waissel wrote in her column for New!

"I feel like that is a real shame. If anything, she should have totally gotten into the spirit of things. She needs to lighten up, for her sake! As I always say, 'S**t or get off the pot'. If she doesn't want to be there and take part, then I suggest she slowly slip away. People see through bulls**t..."

She also sparked speculation that she could have a role on the show next year - saying winner Ben Haenow had thanked her for being a "great mentor".

Confirming speculation that she had mouthed the words "you owe me one" to show boss Simon Cowell as she finished her performance, she explained: "I had no idea the cameras were on me when I had my little moment with Simon," she insisted.

"I see viewers are fantastic lip readers and yes, I did say, 'You owe me one'. Simon and I are as close as pennies in a purse and yes there are very exciting things to look forward to for next year, so watch this space - maybe Ben is on the right track..."

She concluded her column with the lines: "Some love you, some hate you, but as you once told me, 'You'd rather people have an opinion than not have an opinion at all'. And now, four years on, I get it.

"It's time for me to stop running away from the fact that I was on the show, and start enjoying the fact that I survived it! Simon, I love you always. Louis, thank you for being you. See you next year London."
