The X Factor reject Katie Waissel has hit out at her mentor, Cheryl Cole, claiming that the Geordie judge put "her own problems" before her acts.
Waissel, who was voted off the show ahead of last weekend's semi-final, criticised the Girls Aloud singer, claiming that she doesn't even have Chezza's mobile number.
Speaking to Grazia magazine, Katie revealed: "Cheryl and I didn’t have long chats – she would just advise me not to read the papers and say she had had a hard time too."
The 24-year old continued: "I don’t have her mobile number so I don’t know if we will keep in touch."
Despite not connecting with Cheryl, Katie did claim that she did get close to one judge…Louis Walsh.
Waissel admitted: "Louis was my absolute favourite. He gave me his mobile number and I’ll definitely keep in touch. He understood how awful it was for me to be painted in a way I could do nothing about."
Katie, who had a tough time during her time on the talent show, also confessed that she was "hurt" by the booing crowd and that the negative press "reduced her to tears."
On ignoring Cheryl's advice not to read the papers, Waissel claimed: "Of course I read the papers. I would cry my eyes out. But the hardest thing was performing with the audience booing."
She also slammed her fellow finalists for "slagging her off", especially rumoured love interest, Matt Cardle, who Katie claims was "convinced" that she had sold a story about him to the press.
Katie explained: "There was nowhere I could drop my guard. Matt Cardle thought I had sold a story about him. I couldn’t convince him otherwise."
"After that, he lashed out at me in the press, which really hurt. Aiden (Grimshaw) was his best friend and laid into me too. I was an easy target."
She added: "To be honest, it’s been horrendous. I wasn’t prepared for it, I just didn’t know what to do. I’m not a celebrity, I’m just someone who wants to sing."
