Some X Factor hopefuls take it harder than others when their time on the talent show comes to an end.

And Paul Akister, who got the boot on Sunday night, isn't ashamed to admit that he found it really tough when he got his marching orders.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, he revealed that he had expected to be sent home: "I actually knew... in the morning when we go to the studio and we do rehearsals I actually had a feeling, I was like, I'm definitely going tonight.

"It's weird because Jack had the same thing - you just get a feeling."

But despite getting that feeling, he still wasn't prepared for the shock of finding out he'd come bottom in the public vote.

"I was pretty angry and literally couldn't stop crying," he confessed.

"It could be I haven't showcased my true vocals on the show but you never know, I don't know."

He also took a pop at Louis Walsh for sending the vote to deadlock.

"If I was (a judge) I would definitely say who I thought sang the best. Whether it was me or Jay - I would say. So it is sort of a back out thing to do."

And his mentor Mel B clearly agrees, because she's admitted she was furious with her fellow judge after Sunday's show.

She told The Sun: "Paul won the sing-off hands down. I said to Louis, 'I am so angry at you, come on, don't wimp out'.

"He told me to shut up. I won't tell you what I said after that."
