After finding out he had received the least public votes on last night's results show, Aiden told host Dermot O'Leary: "My friend texted me earlier and said there was a leak on Twitter that I was third from the bottom."
O'Leary was quick to react to Grimshaw's comments, saying the claims he was referring to on Twitter "uncorroborated."
Aiden has since revealed to breakfast show Daybreak that he was not implying the show was fixed, and played down the leak, stating: "He's one of my friends who likes to throw in a corker every now and again, it's probably just word on the street, it had no relevance."

Speaking of his exit from the talent show, the 17-year old continued: "I had a beer or two ... I'm OK, last night I had a bit of a sob with Matt, but I'll get over it, I think,"

"I think you've always got to expect you are going to be in the bottom two and prepare. It is what it is, you win some, you lose some."

Despite Aiden 'playing down' fix rumours, audience members booed Katie when Dermot confirmed that she had been saved and fans of the XF have accused bosses of 'meddling' with the vote in order to save Waissel.

According to the Daily Star, a double elimination had been planned for Sunday, but show executives scrapped it to allow Katie to save her fourth sing-off.

Reports have also suggested that Katie has a 'secret' record deal in the US, after a song featuring her vocals was released behind Simon Cowell's back.
