X Factor's Emily Middlemas hasn't let Nick Grimshaw get away with his not so nice comments about her performance of Toxic from her last show, hitting back in a new interview this week.

It all started when the Radio 1 DJ took to Twitter on Saturday night to tell the world what he really thought of the 17-year-old's attempt at the Britney Spears classic:

"I just watched someone play the ukulele and sing Toxic by Britney Spears on the X Factor and people pretended it wasn’t horrible."

Ouch! While Emily has since told OK! magazine that she's still super proud of herself.

"Not everyone is going to like my voice and that's fine," she added. "He probably shouldn't tweet nasty things though.

"You never know what people's emotions are or what place they are in mentally," she said.

Adding: "I’m just proud of myself to get through to the semi final.

"This year has been amazing and I’ve been so lucky to have been a part of it."
