X Factor's Matt Cardle Arrested For Drug Posession
Just months before he made his debut on the talent show...
Dannii Minogue's contestant was at war with fellow hopeful Katie Waissel, with rumours claiming he wants her to leave the competition, Matt's fans have now been rocked with more news that the Essex boy was arrested months before his XF days.
According to the News of the World, police pulled over the car that Cardle was driving and arrested him and his passengers on suspicion of having illegal drugs on their possession.
This year's XF has been tainted with scandals including Gamu-gate, Matt's rumoured affair with Waissel and Cher Lloyd's suspected relationships with One Direction's Liam Payne, Harry Styles and now, Zain Malik.
An XF source has since told The Mirror that the house where the contestants live has become a 'war zone' after the conflict between this year's finalists reached boiling point over the last few weeks.
The insider claimed: "The house is like a war zone. There is in-fighting among the contestants and they are making enemies of the neighbours, too. ”
“None of them are really good friends. There are very diverse personalities and it is getting competitive, so sparks are starting to fly."
They added: "It is the worse year for in-fighting. It like a battlefield sometimes.”
Meanwhile, One Direction are said to be closing in on Matt to be crowned this years XF winners after bookies have made them the second favourite to win the show.
According to the Online Betting Guide, Rebecca Ferguson is third favourite to win with Cher Lloyd and Mary Byrne close behind her.
Ferguson proved the most popular amongst viewers of this weekends show, with her rendition of Wicked Game becoming the highest rated on iTunes.
