Matt Cardle, has blasted Simon Cowellfor saving Katie Waisselon Sunday's results show, accusing the music mogul of wanting to get the show 'more attention' by axing his pal, Aiden Grimshaw.
Cardle, who is currently the favourite to take home the XF title, has told theWagner Carrilhoagain, urgings fans to stop voting for the Brazilian crooner.

Cardle claimed: "The whole Wagner thing - enough is enough. The joke is over now and people should be voting for the singers. People would mind leaving the competition less if Wagner wasn't still in it."

He added: "I would be gutted if I went home before Wagner. I'm sure Aiden is. I would prefer Katie stay next week to Wagner, yeah definitely - at least she's a good singer, she looks good."

Matt also shot down rumours that he was dating show-stylist, Grace Woodward, telling the newspaper: "We are very close but if you hug someone backstage you are in a serious relationship. We get on because I don't cause her problems. Look at me, I don't need styling."

"When there were 16 acts here there were 30 people and she got a lot of flak and I was there for her. I am very supportive of her and what she does. Yeah, I think she is amazing. And she is brilliant at what she does."
