Microsoft Director In Twitter Row Over New Xbox

Executive angers gamers by dismissing connectivity concerns...

Microsoft's creative director has ignited an online row after clashing swords with a critic on Twitter.
Adam Orth had tweeted: "Sorry, I don't get the drama around having an "always on" console. Every device now is "always on". That's the world we live in. #dealwithit"

His comment refers to the company's recent revelation that the next-generationXboxgames console will have to [uuid=373763c6-528e-485e-9a3e-4db4c67b3ebe]constantly be connected to the web[/uuid]. One benefit of this for Microsoft is the ability to combat piracy more effectively.
But one follower took issue with his stance, pointing out that some people's internet connection was not reliable and protesting that "deal with it is a sh***y reason".
Orth replied: "Electricity goes out too."
To which his critic responded: "You've lived in LA, SF, Seattle... very connected places. Try living in Janesville, WI or Blacksburg, VA."
But "Orthy" was not convinced, simply answering: "Why on earth would I live there?"
There has since been a backlash among gamers following the comments, with one irate individual filming himself smashing up his Xbox 360 with an axe to express his rage.
Orth has since protected his Twitter account so it can only be seen by confirmed followers.
