Though we've known for some time that Microsoft was working on revising and improving the Xbox Live avatar system - you know, the cute little Mini You you made on your Xbox 360 - but now, we've had a sneaky look at developments to date… a little bit earlier than Microsoft had possibly planned, though…

Yes, that's right; it's another day, and another leak. Here's what we've been told:

According to the video shared by The Verge, the refreshed avatar system will be organised in much the way it is now, with free and premium clothing and items available. But unlike the older avatars, the new ones have much more options when it comes to customisation, including loads of different eye shapes, eyebrows, mouths, eyelashes, hairstyles and colours, facial hair, make-up, plus poses and moods, too. You can even paint your fingernails.

Best of all, the system acknowledges disability and diversity, so you're able to select wheelchairs and prosthetic limbs, too.

Microsoft's all-new avatars will be coming to Xbox One and Window 10 later this year, with some members of the preview system getting a glimpse as early as later this month.
