XFM’s Big Surprise
Kasabian rocked the night, but there was a big surprise at Xfm charity gig, Winter Wonderland'
Xfm hosted a party and a half at the Brixton Academy on Saturday, and helped raise money for homeless charity Shelter.
Kasabian, The Kooks, The Feeling, Captain, Just Jack, Boy Kill Boy and The Automatic damn near brought the house down at the gorgeous old theatre in South London, which also saw The Clash legend Mick Jones take to the stage to accept his bands place in Xfms new Hall of Fame.
The big surprise of the night, however, was Tenacious Ds unexpected arrival, allegedly at a cost of 200k " according to The Star the group chartered a jet from LA especially for the gig.
Kasabian finished the night off and their performance bodes well for anyone whos got tickets to their forthcoming Earls Court gigs.
They stormed through a set which included a selection of old and new hits, starting with current single Shoot the Runner, finishing with LSF and playing forthcoming release Me Plus One on the way.
