The filmmaker tweeted a snap of Page looking up at co-star Shawn Ashmore along with the caption: "Hello, Kitty."

The duo are wearing leather jackets in the snap, which appears to have been taken on set in Montreal, Canada.

Kitty Pryde has a major role in the classic comic book storyline on which the new movie is based.

And Singer has been leaking a series of snaps from the set - including one of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine last week.

The film is set for release next summer.
