5 Of The Best Yoga Experiences London Has To Offer
How to de-stress in the capital.
Living in a city can be stressful – let alone living in the capital. But for those of us who just can’t find relaxation in a good old fashion Netflix binge session, there are other ways to chill – and what better way to de-stress than yoga? Here are the best yoga experience’s London has to offer to help you unwind.
Karma Sanctum Yoga
Now this is our kind of fusion – when yoga meets brunch. Yes, the Karma Sanctum Yoga Brunch Club offers an hour of ‘Sweat. Tone. Flex’ with yogi Katie Silver before enjoying brunch on the roof terrace of the idyllic Soho Sanctum Hotel. Guests can also take a dip in the hot tub if they fancy and are gifted with a goodie bag worth over £50.
Hot Pod Yoga
A little different than your average yoga class, Hot Pod Yoga is an inflatable cocoon, housing 20 people. Once in, temperatures soar to 37 degrees while ‘urban chill tunes’ play. Get ready to sweat in a whole new way, people.
Pure Yoga Zone
If you’re after a less conventional yoga experience, then Pure Yoga Zone could be the class for you. Fear not, you won’t end up looking like a downward facing wet dog during this class, the floating boards are designed to be wider than normal mats making balancing easier, while being on water apparently mimics your inner energy flow.
For all you early birds out there, the Sky Garden offers sunrise yoga. Sessions are 36 floors up and begin at 6.30am, meaning that you can take in stunning views and watch as the city awakens (along with your chakras). Attendees can then enjoy and much earned breakfast in the stunning Sky Pod bar.
If heights are your thing then there is no better (or higher) viewing point to practice yoga than at The Shard. ‘Yoga In The Clouds,’ run by Yogasphere, does exactly what it says on the tin. Sat on 72nd floor of the London landmark, classes start at 8.30am on Saturdays, allowing you to kick start your weekend in a balanced, zen like state.
