YouTuber Caspar Lee Is Writing A Book With His Biggest Fan
Also known as his mum.
Forget flowers and chocolates because Caspar Lee has officially given his mum, Emily Riordan Lee, the best Mother's Day gift of all time.
Yep, Caspar's just announced that he's set to be the latest member of the YouTube gang to land a book deal and not only will he be releasing an autobiography documenting his life story so far, but he's got his mum involved to help him write it.
Well, we say he's got her involved but as the story goes she actually agreed to write his story in secret and when he found out, she let him get involved in the project too.
Available for pre-order right now, the official title for the project is 'Caspar Lee by Caspar Lee and Emily Riordan Lee'. The cover also involves his face and some quite aesthetically pleasing doodles, so it's full of promise at this stage.
“I’m really pleased to be the only YouTuber who has published a book in the last couple of years… oh wait,” Caspar said in a statement about project, which he's been beavering away on in secret.
“In all seriousness it’s been so interesting to hear about all the things my family went through when we were living in South Africa but that I wasn’t aware of because I was too young. Thanks so much to my mum for capturing my life story so far and to everyone who has gotten me to this point."
Caspar's mum Emily, who you'll no doubt know pretty well from his and sister Theo's vids, also seems pretty psyched about the whole thing and added: “What an extraordinary journey it's been for me bringing up my children and then getting to write about them!
“Caspar's life has been unusual, and a little crazy, and I am so proud to be able to share his formative years. It's been such a pleasure for us to work together on this project, and I hope people may learn that even though life can take some unexpected turns, the glass should always be half full."
The good news is that you won't have too long to wait around for this one as Caspar's book is set to be published by Penguin Random House on May 31st. The book will also be published in the US, so if you're across the pond then you'll also be able to get your hands on Caspar's wise words over there too.
