Find Out If Hannah Hart & Grace Helbig Are More Superhero Or Supervillain In Our Very Super Quiz

The huge YouTubers have their very own superhero film out – but are Electra Woman and Dyna Girl heroes or villains?

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last few months, you’ll be well aware that Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart have been busy making another movie.

Yep, two of our favourite YouTubers have swapped their regular clothes for head to toe Lycra as they’ve transformed to become: Electra Woman & Dyna Girl.

We caught up with the girls to find out more about the film they describe as ‘Suicide Squad meets Girlmore Girls’ (GOALS), and naturally also gave them a bit of a test to find out whether they’re actually superheroes or supervillains.

OOOH.

For anyone nuts enough not to have heard of Electra Woman & Dyna Girl as yet, can you tell us what we need to know?

Hannah: "You need to know that Electra Woman and Dyna Girl is a buttkicking superhero movie about two friends who move from a small time in Ohio to make it big on the superhero scene in Los Angeles."

This is not your traditional superhero movie either. Do you think superhero movies can traditionally be a bit sexist in the way they portray women?

Hannah: "What’s interesting about this is that we’re people and we’re creators and when we’re writing a plot or structuring some characters’ journeys, we’re not thinking of ourselves like ‘How are we going to make this a women’s plot?’.

"We were surprised to see people say, ‘Wow! How bold of you to make choices about female characters that don’t involve a romance!’"

Grace: "I think it was really important for us to create characters we relate to – and that’s not to say we’re saying we don’t also relate to Black Widow and Captain America, but at the same time we wanted our characters to feel like they could be our friends."

Right, now for the quiz. If you had the power of invisibility, what is the first thing you would do?

Grace: "I would get into a Beyonce concert."

Hannah: "I guess probably just try and find Beyonce."

What are your thoughts on wearing a cape and y-fronts everyday for the rest of your lives?

Grace: "I love capes and I wish that they were more in mainstream fashion and that’s not to say I couldn’t try to make them work… Yeah, bring capes back.

"Capes are great but they’re also dangerous… just for getting around in crowded areas but they’re really great for brisk summer evenings. The y-fronts might be a little uncomfortable."

Hannah: "I would have a hard time with capes, mostly because I’d get them stuck in doors but I might be able to rock the y-fronts, you never know."

How comfortable did you feel in your superhero costumes while you were filming the movie?

Hannah: "You never know what your body really looks like until it’s covered in a fine, thin material."

Grace: "Yeah, we learned a lot about our bodies for a few days, but the upgrade [version] of the costumes that you see primarily in the move, we loved those. We would wear them every day."

There's an old woman about to step into the path of a bicycle. You can either save her OR you can have unlimited superfast wifi forever? What do you do?

Hannah: "I’m pretty sure I’d save the old woman."

Grace: "Wait, would she die? How tough is this lady?"

Hannah: "I think my natural instinct would overturn my need for wifi."

Would you rather be able to carry really heavy stuff and generally be a badass like The Hulk OR look as good in green as he does?

Hannah: "I WOULD LOVE TO CARRY HEAVY STUFF. I’d love it if I could carry heavy things. That would be awesome.

"In high school my party trick would be to pick things up and pick people up… I was in a big picking people up phase."

Grace: "[To Hannah] You have a lot of The Hulk in you. I love green but I also love picking things up. I feel like one of my strong suits in life, which someone said to me before, is moving people and moving things – because it’s a mundane activity that requires no thought.

"If I could move things without straining my muscles that would be incredible, I’d move all the time."

Hannah: "That WOULD be incredible."

Would you rather have Thor’s hammer and all of the power, responsibility and Viking accent that goes with it OR just a really good toolbox that is actually quite useful for life and making DIY videos?

Grace: "TOOLBELT. Toolbelt 100,000%. I don’t want the responsibility of Thor’s hammer and I also don’t want to replace Thor, I love Chris Hemsworth very much and I want him to continue to exist."

Hannah: "I’d have to second that, I’d love a kickass toolbelt more than Thor’s hammer because Thor’s hammer just seems… Maybe something cooler than a hammer? You have to hold it all the time!"

What superhero or supervillain do you have a weird/guilty crush on?

Grace: "I think I like Inspector Gadget. I also just love Iron Man, I really really do."

Hannah: "Oh my god, Robert Downey Jr."

Grace: "Yeah,I’m very attracted to that superhero."

Hannah: "I would have to say, like in terms of a crush… Iron Man is like a personal fave."

Grace: "I thought you had crushes that you were talking about at Comic Con last year?"

Hannah: "Black Widow? Yeah, I mean it’s more of a crush on Scarlett Johansson. Can you imagine Scarlett Johansson walking into your room?"

Grace: "Hannah’s going off into a fantasy land."

What would you say are each other’s secret everyday superpower and do you use them for good or bad?

Grace: "I think Hannah has a secret super power where she is able to detect pain or sadness in other people and just let’s people know that she’s there when they need them.

"She has a very nurturing spirit whether she wants to or not – she literally cannot control it. So even if you want to suffer silently she wont let you."

Hannah: "I think that Grace’s superpower is observation and Grace is really keen. Also Grace can’t control it though so sometimes she has to check her observations, she has to reality test her observations."

Grace: "Yeah, I’ve got to pull myself out sometimes."

Well, considering neither of them fancy Apocalypse and would most likely save an old lady rather than have free wifi forever, we would say Grace and Hannah are total superHEROES. Hurrah.

Electra Woman and Dyna Girl is out now on Digital HD and on DVD on 11 July exclusively with Amazon.
