Zac Efron: "My Family Is My Rock"

The star opens up about how his family and friends keep him grounded…

Zac Efron has referred to his family as his "rock" and also touched on the role his friends play in helping to keep him grounded.

The 25-year-old star recently made headlines after he [uuid=d8255637-319c-46a8-a5a2-b543d440f3e6]reportedly entered rehab to address issues of substance abuse[/uuid]earlier this year, but appeared happy and healthy as he promoted his latest film That Awkward Moment yesterday (October 15).

During a Yahoo! Movies Q&A session, the actor was asked who he relies on to stay positive when facing difficulties in work and his personal life.

Efron responded: "My family is my rock. I know that they're not going anywhere."

The star continued: "More and more I come to rely on my little brother to keep me grounded. He's 21 now. I know my family's always going to be there."

Zac also spoke about how important his friendships are to him, adding: "As life changes sometimes [family] can't really be there for you in the way that you need, so I rely on my friends."

Earlier today we told you how former High School Musical star Zac [uuid=ff68cb33-63de-4b94-a65d-3b9213e29586]appears naked in the trailer[/uuid] for That Awkward Moment, which hits UK cinemas on February 7, 2014.
