HOLD. THE. PHONE.

With Zayn Malik's recent Billboard interview getting fans excited and ruffling feathers in equal measure, we reckon we've had it CONFIRMED that the former One Direction singer has in fact shot his first solo music video.

When co-president and chief creator at Billboard, Janice Min, posted some juicy behind-the-scenes bits from Zayn's shoot on herInstagram, fans got just a little bit excited.

On photographing #zaynmalik for Billboard: 'It was hard to make the kid look bad. We shot this at night using minimal lighting. He was up for anything and even had ideas himself. He brought two neon signs that were in his music video - he wanted to incorporate them somehow into our shoot. I liked him a lot. He wasn't trying to impress anybody.' So not only was Zayn awesome and cool and easy to work with, but he even brought his own props - what a guy!

And the neon lights were the ones he used in his music vid. WAIT, WHAT?! This is news to literally everyone about a music video!

We're unsettled by how casually she threw this vital piece of info out there, but it's gotten everyone talking about when exactly Zayn will announce or even drop his new single.
