Louis Tomlinson has revealed that he and Zayn Malik have finally called off that slightly weird feud that began back in 2015 over a MacBook filter and has announced that the pair are officially "mates" again. Phew.

In an interview with Andy Cohen Live, the One Direction solo-ist had some welcome news about the state of their relationship:'We got back in touch with each other and kind of cleared the air and talked everything through. So we're mates again, I suppose.

Louis then hinted that it still might be a while until those old scars fully heal: "Like anything like that, it takes time. But it was nice that we had an opportunity to clear the air and be adults about it, I suppose," he revealed.

This all comes after Louis' recent revelation that his mother Johannah Deakin encouraged him to make amends with Zayn shortly before her death from leukemia back in December 2016. At the time, Zayn tweeted out a tribute to Johannah and said he was "proud" of Louis' continued strength.

Discussingtheir reunion, Louis toldThe Sun: "My mum said: "You’ve got to get back in contact with Zayn. Life’s too f*****g short".A mother’s intuition is just f*****g crazy. It always felt supernatural to me. My mum always knew what I was feeling and what I wanted.
Although he and Zayn haven't always had the smoothest of relationships, Louisinsisted that he will always have his old bandmate's back: "I would always see the good in Zayn and also watch him shoot himself in the foot with some of his decisions, but he’s just a little misunderstood."

We're just glad these two have finally made amends.
