Put down your cornflakes and get the National Portrait Gallery on speed dial because Zayn Malik has got himself a new piece of artwork added to the canvas that is his body.

This time though, he’s gone and got the maybe real, maybe fake,tattoo somewhere we really weren't expecting. ON. (The side of)HIS. FACE.

Do we love it, maybe because it connects with his beardy bits? Do we not love it? Do we want toframe it and mount it on the wall above our mantlepiece? Do we kinda want to try and peel it off because we don’t even know if it’s real? WHAT IS REAL ANYMORE?

The new inking, which we can see thanks to Zayn AKA ZAYN shaving his head (another surprise for today), isa bird and floral design, with ‘M.O.M’ tattooed in a banner, which we’re guessing isn't a belated Mother's Day present and insteadstands for 'Mind Of Mine', the title of his new album.

He’s also got a bird tattooed on his neck, because he can do whatever he wants, really.

Fans aren't really sure what to make of all this, with many wondering whether it is actually real or whether it’s one of those temporary tattoos we used to get with our old magazines:

We're still a bit undecided, but let's be honest, Zayn could tattoo a list of every Friends character ever on his noggin and we'd still be all here for it (please don't do that, Zayn).
