If we had a pound for every crazy trend we’ve seen at New York Fashion Week over the years, we’d probably have enough money to buy our own catwalk right now (one a little bigger than the catwalk we made out of an old cereal box once, at least).

But it was Zayn Malik’s unusual choice of accessory after NYFW that had us asking all of the questions, as the singer rocked up carrying a bowling pin.

A Bowlmor Lanes bowling pin, to be precise, which he put down to take photos with fans, since he’s a gentleman and that.

As you can imagine, we have many questions about Zayn’s choice of accessory, which he took with him to Gigi Hadid’s apartment.

Were the couple heading for a post-NFYW, pre-London Fashion Week bowling session? Was this Zayn’s way of congratulating Gigi for her amazing Fashion Week catwalk game ('You BOWLED me over, Gigi', we imagine he'd say)? Was Zayn planning to use the catwalks as bowling alleys after all the shows were over?

Is Zayn trying to make bowling pin accessories happen (not particularly convenient since they're heavier than your average clutch bag, but if Zayn says it's cool, who are we to argue)? Or, is it all a big clue and IS ZAYN GETTING READY TO DEBUT ABOWLING-THEMED FASHION RANGE AT LFW?

Probably not, but we'd totally buy that, for future reference.
