Zayn Malik has broken his Twitter silence following his exit from One Direction.

[related]The ‘You & I’ singer hasn’t actually posted on his official page - which still says he’s a member of the boyband - since March 18, where he declared his love for Little Mix GF, Perrie Edwards.

After a few retweets, including one from new BFF Naughty Boy, the 22-year old has returned to the social-networking site to thank his fans for their support following his decision to quit 1D.

Malik wrote: “Wanna say thanks to everyone that's been there for me over the last few weeks, love you all.. you know who you are x.”

He went on to clarify what he meant by using an ‘x’, tweeting: “The x is a kiss by the way ha it's not a mystery .. sorry to any confused.”
