Zayn Malik Says He Doesn’t Speak To The One Direction Bandmates After “Snide” Comments

Ouch, ouch and ouch.

After pulling a Beyoncé, dropping Mind of Mine, and conquering the world after his departure from One Direction, Zayn Maliknow saysthat he doesn’t speak to his ex-bandmates as they used to make "snide" comments.

Talking to British Vogue for their December issue, the ‘Pillowtalk’ vocalist doesn’t seem too fazed by his lack of connection to the 1D boys, saying: “That's just the way it is.”

“I have always been a bit like that, though - always a bit of an island. I don't like to confer with too many people,” he tells the publication.

“I ain't spoke to any of them for a long time, to be honest with you. That's just the way it is. There's things that happen and things that were said after I left. Snide things. Small things that I would never have expected,” he goes on to say.

Speaking about his time in the world’s biggest boyband, Zayn goes on to talk about how living the kind of fast-paced lifestyle that the boys did, at such a young age, left a mark.

“We went from theatres, to arenas, to stadiums - there was never any sort of bridge between. Just boom, boom, boom,” he goes on to say. “I guess that kind of progression to any mind - but especially when you're 17, 18 - it kind of affects you a little bit.”

“People take it different ways - especially when there are five different personalities. The relationships had broken apart.”

“That's just the way it is. People move on, people grow apart, people grow up,” he adds.

It’s sad, but we guess you can’t stop anyone from living in their truth. Sometimes you just can’t please everyone.
