Zoella Accused Of Using A Ghostwriter To Help Write Her Blog Posts, She Responds With Sassy Tweet
OH not all this again.
It seems like not a month can go by without Zoe Sugg having to deal with some new accusations about her work.
In Heat magazine’s latest issue, they’ve run a feature on the vlogger extraordinaire, claiming that Zoe has received help in the past on her website from a person called Carrie Fry.
The mag reveals that back in February 2014, Gleam Futures (who manage Zoe and other big name YouTubers), gave a social media shout out for any bloggers who were based in Brighton to get in touch.
Apparently, Carrie was one of those who responded, and eventually caused a bit of a stir after her name appeared in a byline of a Zoella blog post on Facebook.
While it was quickly replaced with Zoe’s name, fans began to get a bit suspicious.
Heat also claim there are ‘at least four articles from Zoella’s blog naming Carrie as the writer’.
Team this with the fact that the star has become friends with Carrie since her reply to Gleam’s request – they’ve appeared in vlogs together and occasionally name-check each other on Twitter – and you have an entire conspiracy on your hands.
Zoe’s team responded to the mag over the accusations, explaining: “Zoella has never had any help writing her blog, nor has she ever worked with a ghostwriter to help her.”
And now, even the star herself has hit back with a simple (yet effortlessly sassy) tweet...
Even if any of this was true, is it really that big of a deal? Zoe is only one 25-year-old woman at the end of the day, and considering the size of her amazing empire, we’re sure she’s just trying to create the best content for her fans.
Let’s have a rest with the YouTuber witch hunts for a while…
