Chris Evans: 'I'll Take Break From Acting'

Captain America star reveals he plans to change direction once his Marvel Studios contract is up...

Captain America star Chris Evans has revealed that he plans to take some time out from acting once he has completed his current contract with Marvel.

The 32-year-old star is about to return to the big screen as the all-American superhero for the third time in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

But he hinted in an interview with Glamour magazine that he intends to focus on directing once he's fulfilled his contract to play Cap.

"I think when I'm done with this Marvel contract, I'll take a little break from acting," he explained.

"With acting, you're one piece in a very big puzzle. It's like you helped buy a gift but you don't know what the gift is, so you come back and see the movie. Sometimes it's nice, sometimes it's tragic."

Talking about his directorial debut on 1:30 Train, he added: "This process, you're involved in every single decision. If I hadn't done it, I'd be really kicking myself.

"At the time, it was a daunting task for a number of reasons, but in hindsight it was the right move."

New character posters were recently revealed for the Captain America sequel - which hits UK cinemas on 28 March.
