Last year we invited you to vote for theGreatest Ever Video, andRio by Duran Duranwas crowned theultimate music videoof theMTV generation.

This year, we wanted to find theGreatest Ever Albumfrom a selection of300 international albumsthat have won scores of adoring fans since the channel launched in1981.

MTV Base, MTV TwoandVH1selected100 albums each; then motormouthsTrevor Nelson(MTV Base),Zane Lowe(MTV Two) andEdith Bowman(VH1) discussed the merits of each album in a bid to select the10 best rock, urban and popofferings from across the globe.
