Maika Monroe has revealed that while Dan Stevens may not have been the perfect guest in their new movie, he wasn't all bad.

MTV News caught up with the actress to discuss new flick The Guest - where she stars opposite the Downton Abbey hunk - with Monroe explaining how Stevens took months to get in shape to play the mysterious David Collins.

Speaking of THAT topless shower scene, the 21-year old revealed: "He had training for about a month before and even throughout the shoot, they were very serious on his diet and working out so they saved that scene for one of the last days we were shooting so he would be full force, six to eight pack.

"It was just really funny as at that point, we were so close to and such good friends he just felt so ridiculous doing it. It was funny though."

As well as talking about Dan's transformation, Maika also speaks about her character Anna - revealing they aren't too similar!

The Guest is due for UK release on September 5.
