NXT superstar Finn Balor has revealed he is no rush to be called up to WWE’s main roster - insisting he is “very content” contributing to the growth of the sports entertainment juggernaut'sdevelopmental division.

The Irish ace, 33, also told MTV he hoped to prove a talisman for the highly-acclaimed brand exclusive to the WWE Network, particularly at a time for wrestlingthat he reckons is 'verging on a boom period'.

Asked about how he hopes his in-ring character may be presented on WWE’s flagship programming, Balor said there were plenty of challenges still to be met on his current turf.

He said: "A lot of people keep talking about this call up to the main roster but for most of us at NXT we all believe what we’re doing at the moment is equally as important and we’re all fully committed to that.

"I’m not in any rush to make a move to Raw or SmackDown. I’m very content at NXT and there’s a lot of challenges and a lot of milestones still to be achieved in NXT before I make any move."

Balor continued: "We all believe that we’re creating an alternative and we believe this is something we can sustain, grow and develop."

Calling attention to the fact NXT has recently toured beyond its home base of Florida to Ohio and California - as well this past weekend’s three shows in Philadelphia and New York ahead of next Wednesday’s NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable - Balor remained tight-lipped about when WWE’s stars of the future could be making international tripes.

"I’ve heard a couple of whispers we’ll be travelling overseas so nothing’s been confirmed - but watch this space,” said Finn, before emphasising NXT is certainly going places.

"I want to be part of the growth of NXT. I’m one of the leaders of what we’re pushing,” he added.

"It definitely feels like a renaissance period for wrestling right now, there’s definitely a ‘boom’.

"We’re on the verge of another boom period and I want to be one of the people at the forefront of that."

And with WWE having recently trademarked the name of ‘Balor Club’ as well as the ’Too Sweet’ hand gesture Finn was known to throw up during his days in New Japan Pro Wrestling as part of the Bullet Club, will Finn be coming on his own, whenever it may be that he does turn up regularly on Raw or SmackDown?

"Never say never,” he said, with a grin.

"But at the moment Finn Balor is one of two people and whether you see me or you see the Demon is yet to be determined… but it’ll be one or the other."
