Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow Getting Her Own Movie?

Marvel Studios boss reveals that a standalone project for Avengers heroine is being worked on...

Fans of Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow character from The Avengers have been getting excited after Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige hinted that a standalone movie could be in the pipeline.

Speaking to Total Film, creative supremo Feige pledged that Black Widow's character would be explored further in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

But he also teased the possibility of the slinky superheroine getting a movie of her own.

"We learn more about her past and learn more about where she came from and how she became in that film," he said.

"The notion of exploring that even further in her own film would be great, and we have some development work with that."

ScarJo plays Natasha Romanov (aka Black Widow) in the soon-to-be-released Captain America sequel - helping Cap (Chris Evans) come to terms with his re-awakening in the 21st century.
