You Can Now Eat Bloody Tampon Macarons If That’s What You’re Into

Delicious

Probably no-one has ever gazed at the bloody tampon in their toilet bowl and wondered why more snacks aren’t designed with menstruation in mind.

Even so, a company called OhLaLa have launched a set of delicious macarons that are purposely shaped to look like a variety of bloody and non-bloody tampons. Depending what you're into, obv.

'Let's get checking out whether the following period myths are true or false...'

The company have teamed up with charity Bloody Good Period, who aim to get rid of period poverty once and for all. Every single box purchased will provide a month’s supply of sanitary products for asylum seekers, refugees, and women on a low income.

The macarons are handmade in Bloomsbury and are filled with fresh vanilla, raspberry or rose buttercream. The products even boastan edible blue ‘string’ of raspberry to make the end design look as authentic as possible. Go figure.

OhLaLa

For anyone thinking about buying a box for themselves, a friend, or anyone immature enough to be squeamish about periods, a pack of eight are currently available to purchase through their website for £24.95.

Founder Meredith O’Shaughnessy said: “OhLaLa has always been about servicing women in a joyful way. ‘We created the world’s first tampon macarons to give back to women who need it most. By partnering with Bloody Good Period, we are raising awareness and providing supplies to asylum seekers to help end period poverty.

“I chose to work with like-minded organisations and after hearing about Gabby Edlin’s great work, I knew I wanted to use my unique macaron creations to help raise money and awareness of period poverty, which still affects far too many women today.”

Hands up if you're going to go with the flow and purchase three boxes.
