Stevi Ritchie Bows Out Of The X-Factor After Sing-Off

The former call centre worker leaves the competition ahead of next week’s quarter-finals…

Stevi Ritchie has been voted off the X-Factor, after going head-to-head in the sing-off with Mel B’s act, Andrea Faustini.

Both were left to sing for a place in next week’s quarter-finals after receiving the fewest number of public votes.

Mel B and Simon Cowell both opted to save their acts, as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Louis Walsh unanimously chose to send Stevi home.

It was Stevi’s second week in the bottom two, after surviving the public vote against former Royal Navy fitness instructor Jay James last weekend.

The former call centre worker joins Only The Young as the two acts to exit the competition in this weekend's double elimination.

Speaking to host Dermot O'Leary after being booted off,Stevi said:“The whole experience for me has been an absolute dream. I never thought I’d get this far!"

He also thanked his “best friend and mentor”, Simon Cowell.

On his mentee's exit, SiCo said: “I was given you as a wild card - you've been so much fun to work with.

"You never complained, you never took yourself that seriously.”

The new three-piece Take That and Labrinth took to the stage for the results show, with Queen, Ella Henderson and Union J announced as the musical guests for next week’s round.
