Will It Be Double 007 For Adele? Singer Linked To New Bond Theme

Star reported to be working on music for next James Bond movie...

Finding a singer capable of following Adele's awesome theme song for Skyfall is a pretty tall order - but it seems the team working on the next James Bond movie might just have managed it.

Step forward... Adele!

Yep, The Mirror claims that the phenomenally successful British star has been taking time out from work on her delayed third album to record a song for Spectre.

A source at movie studio MGM said: "Everyone thinks Adele is here for her much anticipated new album, but she is actually working on a music idea for the James Bond film.

"She hadn't been in contact with the film bosses for a few weeks, but suddenly she said she had great plans for the theme, so they flew her over.

"The execs made their feelings known to Adele that they want her back for the next film. They'll still have to decide whether they want the tune once it's recorded."

The only artist ever to perform more than one James Bond theme song before is, of course, Dame Shirley Bassey - who lent her vocal prowess to Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever and Moonraker.

And the paper's source claimed that star Daniel Craig had championed Adele's return to the franchise.

"Daniel really was the biggest advocate for Adele when she scooped all those awards and asked her to return to sing the new theme."
