'Bond 24' Filming To Begin In December

Two dozen films later, the superstar spy flick is still going strong...

As probably the most successful movie franchise of all time, a follow-up to 2012's Skyfall was all but assured. Now we have an official start date for the project: it will begin shooting in Britain on December 6.

The untitled film, for now referenced as Bond 24, will again star Daniel Craig as the titular hero – his fourth time reprising the role. Other returning figures include Ben Whishaw as Q, Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny and director Sam Mendes.

[related]Other potential cast members include 12 Years ASlaveactor and Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor, who has been rumoured as the film's villain, and Penelope Cruz as the iconic Bond Girl.

One other 'Bond' vet possibly making a re-appearance is Adele, who is reportedly being courted to again contribute to the soundtrack. If that doesn't work out, MTV VMA performer Sam Smith is also allegedly being eyed for the main theme, although he recently denied those claims.

While the story is being kept closely under wraps, we know it will be a direct continuation of Skyfall, and a furtherance of the characters’ relationships.

Bond 24 is scheduled to hit cinemas beginning October 2015.
