5 Seconds Of Summer, Ariana Grande and Jessie J were amongst the first stars to arrive on tonight’s MTV VMAs red carpet at the Forum in Inglewood, California.

Wearing a black leather Moschino mini dress, Ariana was no doubt a huge hit with the label’s creative director Jeremy Scott, who arrived at the VMAs in a bright yellow suit jacket emblazoned with a smiley face on the back.

Jessie J kept things classy in avintage Halston dress, looking like she had stepped straight out of Studio 54, while the 5SOS boys also scrubbed up well for their VMAs debut.

Offsetting her rainbow hair with a glamorous Johanna Johnson gown, Kesha was another early arrival to the carpet, as was Charli XCX.

Wearing a tiger print jumpsuit, the Boom Clap singer was amongst the first to perform at the VMAs, warming up the red carpet with a harem of feather-clad dancers – her ‘Charli’s Angels’.
