The legal battle between Kesha and Dr Luke continues after she's released a series of emails that show him making offensive comments about her weight.

The exhanges take place betweenDr Luke and Kesha's manager Monica Cornia, and are the latest in Kesha's claim that she suffered 'emotional abuse and rape' at the hands of the producer.

The comments are particularly cruel given the fact Kesha has a historywith bulimia, which is something she eventually checked into rehab for in2014.

In an email from 2012, Dr Luke wrote about an incident where Kesha "broke" her diet:"We were having a discussion on how she can be more disciplined with her diet", he began.

The leaked message from The New York Postcontinues: "There have been many times we have all witnessed her breaking her diet plan. this perticular [sic] time — it happened to be diet coke and turkey while on an all juice fast.”

Dr Lukethen claimed that Kesha's appearance was having a negative impact on her career, claiming that A-List songwriters are reluctant to work with her "because of her weight."

Just to add more insult to injury, he alsoshut down her request to change a lyric, responding: “I don’t give a s–t what you want. If you were smart you would go in and sing it."

Right.

For his part, Dr Luke has now released a statement saying the emails are misleading and taken out of context.

"Kesha and her attorneys continue to mislead by refusing to disclose the larger record of evidence showing the bad faith of Kesha Sebert and her representatives which is greatly damaging to them," the message reads.

"It also shows the tremendous support that Dr Luke provided Kesha regarding artistic and personal issues, including Kesha's own concerns over her weight.

"Rather than agree to a thorough disclosure, Kesha and her representatives improperly publicized, without court permission, three out-of-context emails which do not present the full picture regarding the events they concern.

The statement then adds:"Dr Luke looks forward to full vindication in court."
