What with Ed Sheeran currently taking a break from music and essentially travelling the world on his version of a gap year, it’s safe to say we’re missing him quite a lot.

Well, luckily for the northern part of the UK, there’s an Eddy lookalike roaming the streets and giving us all heart palpitations – but as it turns out, looking like a celebrity isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

21-year-old Ty Jones has been chatting to the Daily Mail about life as an Ed Sheeran doppelganger, but while he gets bombarded by legions of fans, the whole thing’s actually not been too great for his love life.

He told the paper: “When Ed became really famous I had people always coming up to me and talking to me and wanting my picture - it was crazy.

“He's such a big artist and I'm a massive fan of his but now it's like I can't escape it, people go mad when they think they're meeting Ed Sheeran.

“It's made my relationships worse I'd say because now I have to weigh up if they like me for me or are they're just interested in me because I'm the next best thing to Ed if they really like him.

“When girls ask me for pictures in the streets it's annoyed some of my girlfriends in the past and caused problems.

“It's hard to explain because it's not like I can help it and I don't like being horrible to people and deny them a picture if they want one.”

To be honest, if we woke up one day and looked exactly like Kendall Jenner, we reckon we could handle the pressure.

We’re just really brave like that.
