The Young Knives are asking bands to apply to support them on their forthcoming tour.

The three-piece- from Ashby de la Zouch- are playing in smaller towns for their Off the Beaten Track dates and want local groups to perform at the gigs too.

Bands- who are from the towns The Young Knives are calling at- can enter themselves by sending demos to offthebeatentrack@gmail.com.

The group- whose debut album was nominated for this years Mercury Prize- will then look through submissions and find the best.

They release their second disc Superabundance on March 10.
