Kasabian Hailed Best Act In The World At Q Awards

Ed Sheeran also scooped up an award, as did the likes of St Vincent, The Charlatans and Johnny Marr...

Kasabian had a great afternoon at the Q Awards today (October 22) as they were hailed the 'Best Act in the World'.

The band also went home with the award for 'Best Live Act', as fellow chart-topper Ed Sheeran won 'Best Solo Artist'.

Sam Smith, Paolo Nutini and Jamie xx were also all recognised at the event, which was held at the Grosvenor House hotel in central London.

The ceremony went on to awardindependent record label XL recordings, the company who launched Adele to worldwide fame, with the gong for outstanding contribution to music.
