Ronson Revamps Britney

It's about time we heard about Ms Spears in relation to music!

Good news for Britney fans waiting for goodness knows how long for her next foray into actual music - one of her best tunes has been given a 2007 remix.

Super producer Mark Ronson, who counts Lily Allen and Robbie Williams among his friends and collaborators, has given 'Toxic' a wicked lick of paint.

Britney's voice has been ditched and replaced with an old ODB rhyme, the electro squiggles have been toned down and the results are a slowed-down, sexy-dirty take on the popstrel's original electro disco stomper.

The tune is out on limited edition vinyl with a souped-up versh of Coldplay's 'God Put A Smile Upon Your Face' on the other side, on January 29.

Producer Mark Ronson is going to be big news this year - his album 'Version', is out in April and will feature an array of reinterpreted tunes like these two.

Ronson says, "I keep the utmost respect and appreciation for the original versions of songs I use. Its not like Im thinking its a sh*t song that I can make good, its more like its a great song and Im now going to make it bounce.
