Vin Diesel Pays Touching Tribute To "Brother" Paul Walker

The Fast & Furious star took time to reflect in the New Year...

Vin Diesel has paid a moving tribute to his Paul Walker, calling him a “brother”.

Revealing that Paul, whom he affectionately nicknamed “Pablo”, inspired him to do some “soul searching” in the New Year, Vin shared some personal memories of their adventures together on his Facebook page.

“The time when Paul and I closed down a press junket in LA,” he wrote, referring to a press conference that was cancelled after Vin Diesel and Paul began racing cars on a rooftop.

“I believe it was the only time in history that a junket was ever shut down due to driving. Haha, it was the last time the studio ever had cars at a junket that Paul and I were at.”

The action star also touched on Paul’s philanthropic side, noting: “Back in 2010, when the earthquake hit Haiti, I had asked everyone I knew to come to the island of Hispaniola, even friends that were born there, and the only person who came through was my brother Paul.”

“It was the first trip his foundation made, in fact, I remember him asking me which name I preferred [for the foundation], REACT or ROWW.”

Paul eventually chose ROWW (Reach Out Worldwide). He was tragically killed two months ago while attending an event for the foundation, after a car he was travelling in crashed and caught fire.

Vin Diesel concluded his poignant post: “You have always been so supportive, especially in these past two months… So, I wanted to share something personal that I worked on through the New Year, in honour of my brother Pablo… Paul.”
