After seeing George Ezra rock our MTV Brand New gig back in January, we couldn’t turn down the chance to see the 21-year-old singer again, this time at an Amazon exclusive show on July 1st. Singing tracks from his debut album Wanted On Voyage, here’s what went down in his 40-minute set…

Feeling: The gig was staged in the tiny 12 Bar Club in London’s Soho, which even though is rather small, it fitted George's style and feel to a tee. He's much more suited to an up-close and personal performance, a point that was proven when he started his set.

Tunes: George Ezra has a fantastic voice, one that seems at odds to his mere 21 years on the planet. He sings like an old blues warbler – you know, like the kind you'd find on the soundtrack to a Steven Seagal film? His simple riffs and melodies hum along at an amiable pace, with his roughly smooth voice (is that a thing?) complementing the stripped-back acoustics perfectly. Did You Hear The Rain? was an obvious highlight, as was the easy to sing along to Budapest.
