Sam Claflin Cast As Finnick Odair In Catching Fire
British actor Sam Claflin is reported to have been cast in the role of Finnick Odair for The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire.
The actor, who appeared in Snow White And The Huntsman this year, is claimed by Zap2It to have been offered the job by producer Nina Jacobson and studio Lionsgate.
The website claims that an official announcement is expected to be made once the 26-year-old has signed on the dotted line.
Claflin is claimed to have beaten other candidates including Lucas Till, Trevor Donovan, Armie Hammer and Garrett Hedlund to the role of Odair - a male victor from Panem's District 4 in Suzanne Collins' best-selling books.
Jennifer Lawrence will return as Katniss Everdeen in the movie sequel, while Amanda Plummer has just been confirmed for the cast - and we recently told you that Philip Seymour Hoffman had [uuid=c62b3ba8-44af-4056-a819-3079b1c28f63]also accepted a major role[/uuid].
