Jay-Zhas confirmed that he will be involved in the remake of the musical Willow Smith.

It had been reported that Willow would star in the new version of the classic story, with her dad Will Smith thought to be producing the movie through his Overbook company.

Rumours suggested that Jigga would contribute to the soundtrack of the film, after sampling Annie on his 1998 tune, Hard Knock Life.

Now, the On To The Next One rapper has announced that the project is going ahead, and that he will co-produce the movie alongside Willow's parents Will and Jada Pinkett Smith.

The music mogul revealed: "The Overbrook Entertainment family and I have a unified vision. We've already produced a Tony Award-winning play and we're developing a true superstar in Willow."
