One Direction's Louis & Liam: 'We Could Never Go Solo'

One Direction members Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson have insisted they could never go solo, admitting they'd find it difficult without their bandmates.

Speaking at a press conference following the announcement of their new album FOUR, Tomlinson told reporters: "Just having each of us, let’s be honest I personally don’t think I’d be able to do it as a solo artist.

[related]"It’s very intense and hard to comprehend, so it’s good to be able to speak to people who obviously know exactly what you personally are going through."

Payne agreed: "Yeah and it’s nice to have somebody there every day who’s going through exactly the same stuff you are.

"It’s beautiful being in this position but it’s also difficult at times. It’s nice to have guys you can turn to."

Meanwhile in other 1D news, their new song Fireproof has smashed yet another world record after scoring over one million downloads in one day.

After the lads announced the free give-away of the song, it became become the most downloaded free track in history, in just 24 hoursand was downloaded 1,089,278 times!

Last year, the boys’ third album Midnight Memories debuted at top spot in 39 countries, and went on to become the top selling album of 2013 worldwide.
