A spokesperson for Zayn Malik has shot down rumours that a possible sex tape of the singer is on the brink of hitting the web.

According to The Mirror, it was claimed earlier this week that naked footage of Zayn was doing the rounds, with a spokesperson for the former One Direction star slamming the allegations.

[related]In a statement to Now magazine, the rep insisted: “The story is completely fabricated. There’s absolutely no truth to this whatsoever.”

Malik - whois engaged to Little Mix babe Perrie Edwards -ishimself is yet to comment on the reports, which were first printed by OK! magazine in the US.

A ‘close’ friend of the 22-year old told the publication: “Zayn's heard there's a sex tape going around of him naked and partying. He's not sure if it's legit, but thinks there's a good chance it could be. He's going out of his mind.”

“Zayn is panicking. He's already hanging by a thread with Perrie, and a racy video would be the end for them.”

Malik was recently hit with cheating rumours after he was snapped allegedly holding hands with a girl in Thailand.

However, the Bradford-born star strongly denied the accusations, taking to Twitter to state: “I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous f**ks in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like x."

He later quit 1D, with Zayn set to make his first public appearance at The Asian Awards in London this evening (April 17).
